  1. Where are you located?

    The Ark is located 401 East Jefferson St, Viroqua, WI. Our phone is 608-637-7824. Our office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday from 11AM – 1PM and Wednesday, Thursday from 6PM – 8PM or by appointment.

    What do I need to do to reserve The Ark?

    After checking our event planning page and our calendar, fill out the submission form for your event. Email any questions tocalendar@artarkviroqua.org. Your event will be confirmed by our calendar organizer after we receive the submission form.

    I want to host a cooking class – do you have a kitchen?

    Yes! We now have a kitchen available for use. Cooking classes can fit up to 8 people comfortably. The kitchen has a standard four burner range/oven and meals can be prepared to serve groups of up to 90. We have place settings available for 50. We are looking for a kitchen manager- someone who would like to offer cooking classes, concessions for special events, and so forth. Please contact us if you are interested!

    I have a bunch of out of town guests coming to Viroqua for my event. Can they sleep at The Ark?

    We currently do not have sleeping accommodations at The Ark – plus no shower. Your best bet is to stay at one of Viroqua’s hotels or B&B’s. Or camp!

    How far in advance do I need to book my event?

    The Ark is getting booked more and more. We recommend a minimum of 30 days pre-planning to get on our schedule. Also check our Eventscalendar to see what is already booked.

    I’m attending an event at The Ark – where do I park?

    All parking for The Ark is on-street. There is no parking lot for The Ark. But! No worries – there is plenty of on-street parking. The Ark is just South of the Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School. So – there is lots of parking options surrounding The Ark – no worries!

    I want to host an event at The Ark – do you have a PA I can use?

    Short answer – yes. An awesome PA system that was donated by a local Virqoquian. The PA is included with your rental of the theatre space at The Ark.

    Do you rent space? I have a band and I need space that is safe to rock out?

    Short answer – yes. Best option is to contact us to check on availability.

    Is The Ark handicap accessible?

    Yes- we have a handicapped accessible ramp that leads to our first floor rooms and theater. Bathrooms are on the first floor and we are in process of remodeling a handicap accessible bathroom.
